The 3rd time in my life I was sent right to my doorstep

The first time was when I was still in school and it ended after I gave the "golden handshake".
The second occurred out of courtesy(my bro-in-law was his CGL so he must have felt obligated to do so).
The third, happened last night and...it wasn't exactly thrilling cos he is almost a sister to me (please don't kill me if you ever read this).
